A house and four cars were damaged in a fire Dec. 26 on West Rickard Drive in Bristol Township.
About 8 p.m. Ken-Com 911 received multiple calls for a structure fire in an attached garage on the far west side of the Oswego Fire Protection District, according to a news release from the district. When firefighters arrived, the fire was quickly spreading to the house.
Crews launched an aggressive attack and worked to bring the fire under control, according to the release. The house was deemed uninhabitable and there was major damage to the garage.
No residents or firefighters were injured in the fire. The cause of the fire remains under investigation but it is believed the fire started in the garage, according to the release.
Firefighters remained on the scene for about five hours. Mutual aid was provided by the Plainfield, Sugar Grove, Bristol-Kendall and Little Rock-Fox fire protection districts.
Aurora Township and Naperville firefighters provided district coverage during the incident.
