PRINCETON – Donald C." Bo" Marquis, 79, of Princeton, formerly of Buda, died Friday, April 24, 2009, at Liberty Village, Princeton. He was a lifelong farmer and a founding partner of Marquis Grain, Buda.
Mr. Marquis was born Jan. 14, 1930, in Buda, the son of Tann and Lulu (Van Sickle) Marquis.
He married Barbara J. Haley on April 21, 1951, in Buda.Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Wilma (James) Hewitt of Sterling and Cathy (David) Matthews of Prophetstown; a son, Tom (Ronda) Marquis of Princeton; four sisters, Dorothy Flint of Princeton, Wilma Ulrich of Bradenton, Fla., Loretta (Robert) McKay of Sheffield, and Beverly (Gordon) Danielson of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; a brother, Darrell (Colleen) Marquis of Wyanet; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Carl and Kenneth Marquis; a sister, Marie Yoder; and a son-in-law, Michael Winter.
The funeral is at 10 a.m. Monday at Bunker Hill Church of God, Buda, with the Revs. Fred Criminger and Lauren Gerber and Stephen Myong, youth pastor, co-officiating. Burial is at Bunker Hill Cemetery, rural Buda. Visitation is from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the church. Arrangements were completed by Grant-Johnson Funeral Home, Wyanet.
A memorial has been established to Bunker Hill Church of God, Buda.
