DIXON – Jacqueline M. Hayden, 80, of Dixon, died Sunday, Sept. 27, 2009, at her home after a brief illness. She was a nurse for 21 years, retiring in 1994.

Jackie was born Jan. 6, 1929, in Dixon, the daughter of John “Jack” and Hazel (Allshouse) Judge. She married Thomas D. Hayden on March 23, 1949, in Chicago. He preceded her in death on Nov. 17, 2007. She and her husband were members of Dixon Country Club for many years.

Survivors include her son, Denny D. (Barbara) Hayden, and two daughters, Dawn M. Madden and Debi A. (John) Burke, all of Dixon; four grandchildren, Matthew (Susan) Emmole, Casey Madden, Stacey (Jay) Sharboneau, and Brook (Michael) Elmendorf; and 15 great-grandchildren.

Private graveside service and burial will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Dixon, with the Rev. Dr. Vincent O. Marrandino, director of pastoral care at KSB Hospital, Dixon, officiating. Arrangements were completed by Preston-Schilling Funeral Home, Dixon.

A memorial has been established.
