Ogle County Sheriff Arrests

Ogle County Sheriff Greg Beitel reports the following arrests.

Rocky Stone, 32, Rochelle, was arrested Dec. 22 on three outstanding Ogle County warrants for contempt of court. He was held at the Ogle County jail in lieu of bond.

On Dec. 22, at 7:09 p.m., deputies responded to 206 Pine Ave. in Chana in reference to a violation of an order of protection. After an investigation, Kenneth Sheehan 37, Chana, was arrested for the following: violation of an order of protection, aggravated driving while under the influence of alcohol, aggravated driving with a revoked license, possession of a stolen vehicle, resisting arrest, improper lane usage, and driving too fast for conditions.  Sheehan was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was held in lieu of bond.

Theodore Anderson, 33, Freeport, was arrested Dec. 23 on an outstanding warrant. Anderson was held in the Ogle County Jail in lieu of $6,000 bond.

On Dec. 24, Matthew Gabbard, 21, Caledonia, turned himself in on a failure to reduce speed warrant. Gabbard was held in the Ogle County Jail in lieu of bond.

On Dec. 24, at 7:42 p.m., deputies initiated a traffic stop in the 3,000 block of S.Ill. 251. Pursuant to an investigation, Randall J. Johnson, 28, Amboy, was arrested for driving while license suspended and no rear registration light.  A passenger, Amber N. Wolff, 24, Loves Park, was arrested on a Winnebago County warrant.

Derek Mossholder, 21, Dixon, was arrested Dec. 26 for driving while license suspended. Deputies arrested Mossholder in Byron after he was stopped for a lighting violation. Mossholder was held at the Ogle County Jail in lieu of bond.

Joseph Stapleton, 31, Rockford, was arrested Dec. 28 on a failure to appear warrant. Stapleton posted $201 bond and was released with no further court appearance required.

Cody S. Campbell, 24, Polo, was arrested Dec. 28 on a warrant for violation of bail bond. Campbell was held in Ogle County Jail in lieu of $50,000 bond.

Accident

On Dec. 23, at 11:03 a.m., deputies, along with the Oregon Fire Department and Oregon Ambulance Service responded to a two-vehicle crash on River Road approximately two miles north of Oregon.

A vehicle driven by Aaron Harper, 16, Stillman Valley, was northbound on River Road when he and lost control on the slick roadway.

Harper's vehicle skidded across the southbound lane and struck a southbound vehicle driven by Terry W. Becker, 55, Algonquin.

Becker received serious injuries that did not appear to be life threatening and was transported to KSB Hospital in Dixon.

Harper was ticketed for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
