Face time with the Rev. Mark Tusken

The Rev. Mark Tusken, 54, of Blackberry Township, was out with his wife, Peggy, playing with their golden retriever puppy in a field in the Mill Creek subdivision when Kane County Chronicle reporter Brenda Schory asked him 11 questions. Tusken is pastor at St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Geneva.


Where did you grow up? Kansas City on the Missouri side.

Immediate family? My wife and two grown sons.

Pets?
Donner, a 6-month-old golden retriever puppy, and a rescued kitty cat named Oliver.

What's the last song you listened to?
"Amazing Grace" while I was at a funeral.

Favorite charity?
Whatever is the Lord's work.

Hobbies? Reading, house projects and some golf.

Last best book you read (other than the Bible)? "Blink" by Malcolm Gladwell.

Favorite food?
Chocolate.

Favorite local restaurant? Tusk Thai Cuisine in Batavia.

What's your favorite thing about the area you live in? The people who are here, they're great upper Midwesterners.

What is an interesting factoid about yourself?
I have a 110-year-old farmhouse in Galena and we go there after Sundays a lot of times.
