Lake County Fielders Player Poll: Garrett Sherrill

Each week, a different player from the Lake County Fielders minor league baseball team will be featured in a player poll in the Lake County Journal. The players were e-mailed a set of questions, posted below, and the players responded with their answers.

Name: Garrett Sherrill

Age: 22

Home town: Kannapolis, N.C

School: Appalachian State University, N.C ... and yes we beat Michigan in football, and I was a sophomore at ASU when it happened ... it was nuts.

Position: RH pitcher

First impression of Lake County: Great weather, at least not as hot as North Carolina.

Favorite MLB team: Atlanta Braves

Favorite movie: "Avatar;" "Gladiator;" "The Hangover"

Dream job (other than baseball player): Basketball player

Reality TV show obsession: Not really a big reality TV show guy. I am more into sit coms like "King of Queens" and "Friends."

My guilty pleasure is _______________. Playing basketball during baseball season … I guess I would only feel guilty if i was to get hurt … knock on wood!

Dream vacation: Hawaii, of course.

Favorite childhood cartoon: "NInja Turtles"

Who would win in a fight, a pirate or ninja? Why? Hand to hand combat, it would have to be a ninja. But then again, if the pirate brought his gun along, the ninja would obviously have no shot.
