Linda Van Damme

FULTON – Linda J. Van Damme, 61, of Fulton, died Friday, Aug. 13, 2010, at Harbor Crest Nursing Home, Fulton. She was employed by General Electric in Morrison, retiring in 2005.

Mrs. Van Damme was born May 7, 1949, in Clinton, Iowa, the daughter of Jacob Jr. and Jennie (Bielema) Van Kampen. She married Douglas D. Van Damme Sr. on April 6, 1973, in Erie. He preceded her in death on July 23, 1990. She was a member of Gateway Faith Fellowship, Fulton.

Survivors include one daughter, Kelly (Dennis) VanZuiden of Morrison; one son, Mike (Tasha Ross) Van Damme of Fulton; one stepdaughter, Stacy (Don) Hancock of East Moline; one stepson, Douglas (Joan) Van Damme Jr. of Des Moines, Iowa; three sisters, Lois Jorgensen and Joyce (Gene) Jensen, both of Clinton, Iowa, and Marlene (Robert) Buck of Fulton; three brothers, Allen Van Kampen, Paul (Judy) Van Kampen, and Richard (Linda) Van Kampen, all of Fulton; one sister-in-law, Beverly Van Kampen of Fulton; and eight grandchildren.

She also was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Warren Van Kampen and Donald Van Kampen

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home, Fulton, with Wayne Wiersema, pastor of Gateway Faith Fellowship, Fulton, officiating. Burial will be at Fulton Township Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

A memorial has been established to Gateway Faith Fellowship Building Fund, Fulton.
