Face time with Devon Finn

Devon Finn, 32, of St. Charles, was tending to his garage sale when Kane County Chronicle reporter Brenda Schory asked him 12 questions.


Where did you grow up? Wheaton.

Immediate family? Wife, son and daughter.

Pets? An Australian cattle dog named Thor.

What's the last song you listened to on purpose? The whole John Legend CD. Every time I cook breakfast in the morning, I turn that on in the morning and listen to it.

Team Edward or Team Jacob? Team Jacob.

Favorite animated movie?
"Avatar," and the "Incredibles" is a close second.

Favorite charity?
I work for District 200 in Wheaton and we do Volley for the Cure every year for breast cancer.

What do you coach? I coach varsity football at Wheaton Warrenville South High School, 2009 7A state championships.

Hobbies?
Playing basketball and I train kids in speed and strength training in the offseason, helping student athletes get better.

Favorite food?
Chili.

Favorite local restaurant? Wing Stop in St. Charles.

What is an interesting factoid about yourself? I played defensive end and defensive tackle in the NFL for seven years. I played with the Miami Dolphins, Houston Texans; I went to Germany for a year and played for the Frankfurt Galaxy. I came back and played for the Denver Broncos. I went to Canada for a couple of years for the Hamilton Tiger Cats. We were in three states and two countries in seven years. My wife is from St. Charles, so that's why we chose to come back to St. Charles.
