Face time with Robert McGaffin

Robert McGaffin, 32, of Madison, was at Goody's Fast Food car show in St. Charles with his 1965 Cutlass when Kane County Chronicle reporter Brenda Schory asked him nine questions.


Where did you grow up? Northern Wisconsin.

Immediate family? An ex-wife and kids.

What's the last song you listened to on purpose? "Do" by The White Stripes.

Why come this far to a car show?
I am on my way to the Good Guys Car Show in Joliet where I will do freelance photography for "Popular Hot Rodding Magazine."

Who would play you in the movie of your life? Kevin Kline.

Favorite charity?
Cure Autism Now. I have two boys who are autistic, age 10 and 5. When my oldest son was diagnosed at 2, it was one in 400. Within six months, it was one in 150, and now it's one in 95.

Favorite food? Seafood.

Favorite local restaurant?
Niko's Lodge in Campton Hills.

What is an interesting factoid about yourself?
How I got started in doing photography for cars is from a photo contest that I won.
