Police responded to a two-vehicle accident Wednesday morning at Peace and Barber Greene roads that resulted in at least one injury.
Constance J. Gustafson, 70, of Kirkland, was headed northbound on Peace Road in a Hummer while Benito Alamia, 52, of DeKalb, was headed south on Peace Road in a four-door car shortly after 10 a.m.
Gustafson attempted to turn left onto Barber Greene Road and failed to yield to the right of way of Alamia's vehicle. The vehicles struck head-on, and Alamia was transported to Kishwaukee Community Hospital.
Greg Hoyle, battalion chief for the DeKalb Fire Department, said two other people involved in the accident refused medical treatment.
Hoyle said Alamia did not appear to have life-threatening injuries.
Gustafson was charged with failing to yield to the right of way. Alamia was charged with driving with a revoked license.
DeKalb and Sycamore fire departments, as well as the DeKalb County Sheriff's Office and Cortland police, responded to the accident.
