DIXON – Mary JoAnne Munson, 80, of Dixon, died Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2010, at her home.

JoAnne was born March 21, 1930, in Dixon, the daughter of John and Anna (Feltes) Weitzel. She married Loren Munson on Oct. 27, 1951, in Dixon.

She is survived by her husband of Dixon; three children, Rick (Debb) Munson, Cindy (Ken) Reed, and Jeff (Kim) Munson, all of Dixon; seven grandchildren, Jeremy Munson, Jessica Munson, Kelsey Reed, Shane Reed, Evan Munson, Kaelyn Munson, and Madalyn Munson; two great-grandchildren, Teagan Setchell and Tyler Reed; three brothers, John (Sue) Weitzel, Jim (Molly) Weitzel, and Bill (Dixie) Weitzel, all of Dixon; and two sisters, Nancy (John) Munson of Grand Detour and Julie (Herman) Johnson of Harmon.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Dixon Church of the Brethren, with the Rev. Stan Rodabaugh, pastor, officiating.

Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery, Dixon. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Monday at the church. Arrangements were completed by Jones Funeral Home, Dixon.

In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established to KSB Hospice and Dixon Church of the Brethren.
