DIXON – Devin Michael James McCollum, 18, of Dixon, died Sunday, March 6, 2011, at his home.
He worked for Focus Communications.
Devin was born July 14, 1992, in Dixon, the son of James and Deanne (Bonnell) McCollum.
Survivors include his mother, Deanne Loomis of Dixon; his father, James McCollum of Davenport, Iowa; two brothers, Dustin McCollum and Lincoln Loomis, one sister, Madison Loomis, his maternal grandmother, Dillon Albright-Plock, and his paternal grandparents, Harold “Short” (Sherry) McCollum, all of Dixon; three uncles, Dewayne “DJ” (Amy) Bonnell Jr. and Tim Glenn, both of Dixon, and Terry (Jackie) McCollum, of Amboy; and one aunt, Tammy (Keith) Tompkins, of Rock Falls.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Dewayne “Bud” Bonnell Sr.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Preston-Schilling Funeral Home, Dixon, with the Rev. Michael Cole, pastor of The Worship Center, Dixon, officiating.
Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery, Dixon. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m., with the family present from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Friday at the funeral home.
A memorial has been established to the family.
