The history of Sycamore State Street Theatre will be the topic of Sycamore History Museum’s Brown Bag Lunch program, beginning at noon Thursday at the Federated Church, 612 W. State St.
Downtown Sycamore is home to many beautiful, historical buildings. One structure in particular has seen many tragedies, horrors and laughs – the State Street Theatre. Join Daryl Hopper, owner of the theater, to hear the role the theater has played in Sycamore over the years. She also will bring popcorn to share with the audience.
The program is free and open to the public; donations are welcome. For more information, call 815-895-5762 or visit www.sycamorehistory.org.
