Quad Cities resident Jerry Ejuwa, 25, was helping out with promoting Judge Family Chiropractic in St. Charles at Pride of the Fox Riverfest when he answered nine questions from the Kane County Chronicle's Brenda Schory.
Where did you grow up? In Lagos, Nigeria, for half of my life, and then Eagan, Minn.
What was it like the first time you saw snow? I was 14, and I ran out and opened my mouth to catch a flurry.
Who would play you in the movie of your life? Either Denzel Washington or Sidney Poitier.
As a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up? I always wanted to be a doctor and help people, and I'm on my way to that, to becoming a chiropractic doctor. In six months, I will be graduating and get my degree.
A book you'd recommend? "Cruise Ship or Nursing Home" by Dr. Ben Lerner and Dr. Greg Loman.
Favorite charity? Children's Miracle Network.
Hobbies? Soccer, traveling to Spain, Nigeria and across the U.S.
Favorite local restaurant? Prasino, an organic restaurant in St. Charles.
What is an interesting factoid about yourself? Me and a team of 20 chiropractors provided volunteer chiropractic services recently in Manosque, Brazil. We were checking health, blood pressure and doing chiropractic services. We were there 14 days, and I personally saw 128 people in seven days of work.
