Barbara A. Stukenberg

Barbara A. Stukenberg, 72, Forreston, died Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2011 at home.

She was born on Sept. 30, 1938 in Freeport, the daughter of Clarence and Geneva (Milverstead) Plum.

She married Marsdon Stukenberg on Nov. 1, 1958.

She and her husband farmed the family farm since 1958.

She was a member of Forreston First United Methodist Church.

Family was very important to her, especially her grandchildren.

She enjoyed knitting, reading, bingo, and crocheting.

Survivors include her husband, Marsdon, Forreston; two sons, Randy Stukenberg, Forreston and Michael (Colleen) Stukenberg, Forreston; one sister, Sally Grove, Lanark; five grandchildren, Matthew (Maureen) Stukenberg, Aurora, Jacob Stukenberg, Shullsburg, Wis., Anna Stukenberg, Shullsburg, Wis., Ryan Stukenberg, Forreston and Nathan Stukenberg, Forreston; two great-grandchildren, Piper and Pax Stukenberg, Aurora; many nieces and nephews; and her dog, Muffin.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, James Plum, and her twin sister, Beverly Penticoff.

Funeral services were held Aug. 20 at First United Methodist Church with Rev. James Stralow officiating.

Burial was at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.

Arrangements were completed by Burke Tubbs Funeral Home, Forreston.
