Cortney Marie Johnson and Christopher Nelson Knapp were married Dec. 31, 2011, in an intimate ceremony with close family and friends. The Rev. James Johnson of Central Lutheran Church performed the ceremony on the rooftop of the Azul Sensatori Resort in Riviera Maya, Mexico.
Abby Johnson, sister of the bride, was the maid of honor and Leslie (Bell) Demsey, friend of the bride, was matron of honor.
Chuck Knapp, brother of the groom, was best man.
Bridesmaids were Liz Knapp, sister-in-law of the groom, and Janelle Heding and Kelly (Anderson) Friedman, friends of the bride.
Groomsmen were Christopher Johnson, brother of the bride, and Alex Heding and Ryan Kessler, friends of the groom.
Parents of the bride are Mark and Theresa Johnson of Edgerton, Wis. Parents of the groom are Charlie and Terri Knapp of Sycamore.
The couple resides in St. Charles.
