Katie Ioder

OHIO – Katie Ioder, 20, of Ohio, died Sunday, Aug. 19, 2012, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. She was a 2010 graduate of Ohio High School and she worked at the Shell Gas Station in Princeton.

Katie was born May 19, 1992, in Silvis, the daughter of Mark and Annette (Denny) Ioder.

Survivors include her parents. Mark and Annette Ioder of Walnut; one brother, Beau (fiancée, Stacey Dykstra) Ioder of Walnut; two nephews; maternal grandparents, William and Dorothy Denny of Rock Falls; and paternal grandfather, Harry Ioder of Walnut.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Garland Funeral Home in Walnut. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Red Oak United Methodist Church of Walnut, with the Rev. Katie Voigt, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow at Red Oak Cemetery in Walnut.

A memorial has been established to her nephews' college funds.
