STERLING – Timothy L. Rajnowski, 57, of Sterling, died Thursday, Dec. 20, 2012.
He was born Sept. 25, 1955, in Sterling, the son of Ernest R. and Mary L. (Knapp) Rajnowski.
Timothy served in the Army. He was an active member of American Legion Post 296, where he currently was the junior vice president, and served in the Honor Guard. He helped with many chicken dinners at the Legion. Timothy also was a member of the Latin American Social Club in Sterling, and always was willing to give a helping hand with a smile on his face.
Survivors include his father, Ernest R. Rajnowski of Sterling; a significant other, Doris Gilbert; one son, Tim (Julie) Rajnowski of Dixon; one daughter, Dixie Rajnowski of Kylesford, Tenn.; four brothers, Richard (Nancy) Rajnowski, Ernest L. Rajnowski, and Bob Rajnowski, all of Sterling, and Terry Rajnowski of Como; one sister, Teresa Dewitt of Sterling; one granddaughter, Chloe Rajnowski; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Rajnowski.
A military service will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Schilling Funeral Home in Sterling.
