On Sunday the Lombard Bible Church held a public installation service where Rev. Bruce Guckelberg, Ph.D. joined the church as its senior pastor.
Previously, Guckelberg has served with Christian and Missionary Alliance churches in Watertown, New York and San Jose, Cali.
He has a Ph.D. from Trinity Theological Seminary in Newburgh, Ind. and a master’s degree in divinity from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Deerfield.
During Sunday’s ceremony, he was installed by Rev. Jonathan Rich, district superintendent of the Midwest District of Christian and Missionary Alliance.
“My goal is to help Lombard see what authentic Christianity is all about,” Guckelberg said. “This is a community with tremendous diversity and Lombard Bible Church is right in the middle of it.”
