MORRISON – Kenneth E. Shaw, 92, of Morrison, died Saturday, Jan. 19, 2013, at Resthave Nursing Home in Morrison.
Kenneth was born Sept. 22, 1920, in Wyoming to Reuben M. and Ruth M. (Graves) Shaw. He married Grace Reed-Wagner on March 26, 1955, in Brimfield. She died Nov. 8, 1975. He married Dorothy P. Keller-Knox on Aug. 27, 1977, in Morrison.
Kenneth served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He farmed in rural Peoria County and was employed by Handel Implement in Chadwick and as groundskeeper for the former Morrison Country Club. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Morrison.
Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Vicky (Jerry) Stuckey of Lecanto, Fla., Ruth (Joseph) Brunner of Fairfield, Ohio, and Mary (James) Nurre of Montgomery, Ohio; three stepdaughters, Gail (Alvin) Smith, Peggy Ottens and Kris (Arlyn) Deets, all of Morrison; sister Marjorie McDonough of Brimfield, brother Elmer Shaw of Speedway, Ind.; seven grandchildren, nine step-grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and many step-great-grandchildren.
He also was preceded in death by brothers Ray, Lyle and Larry Shaw, stepdaughter Linda Brearton; a granddaughter and two step-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 9 to 11 a.m. and the funeral at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home in Morrison, with the Rev. Michael Selburg of First Presbyterian Church officiating. Interment of cremains will be at Grove Hill Cemetery at a later date.
A memorial has been established to First Presbyterian Church in Morrison.
