LaBELLE, Fla. – Kelly Marie Wolfley Timm, 36, of LaBelle, Fla., entered into eternal life with the Lord on Thursday, Feb. 7, 2013, after a courageous battle with melanoma.
Kelly was born Aug. 20, 1976, in Dixon, along with her twin sister Kimberly, to parents Robert and Ingrid Wolfley of Sterling. Kelly and Joseph Timm were married April 19, 2003, in Fort Myers, Fla. Kelly graduated from Upper Iowa University in 1999, with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education.
Kelly devoted her life to educating children. After receiving her degree, she began teaching at Franklin Center Elementary School in Franklin Grove. She moved to Florida in 2001 and taught at RCMA. From 2006 to 2010, she educated first-grade students at Moore Haven Elementary School in Moore Haven, Fla. In 2011, she taught kindergarten at Country Oaks Elementary School in LaBelle.
She is survived by her husband, Joseph; son, Wyatt; daughter, Emily; parents, Ingrid and Robert Wolfley of Sterling; grandparents, Robert and Wilma Wolfley of Polo; four sisters, Diana (Jay) Maul of East Concord, N.Y., Pamela (Tom) Walberg of North Liberty, Iowa, Kimberly Wolfley of Polo, and Natalie Wolfley of Peoria; 10 nephews; and four nieces.
Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. and 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Akin-Davis Funeral Home in LaBelle. Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church in LaBelle, with the Rev. Chester Domaszewicz officiating. Interment will be at Fort Denaud Cemetery in LaBelle.
In lieu of flowers, in an effort to continue Kelly’s devotion in educating children, donations can be made to Joseph Timm, c/o Seacoast National Bank, 17 N. Lee St., LaBelle, FL 33935, to help support the college education of Wyatt and Emily.
