WOODRIDGE - The Woodridge Bulldogs' 10U traveling baseball team had one major goal before the season.
They achieved that goal July 2 when they topped Top Prospects Baseball Club 11-1 to win the West Suburban Baseball League championship.
"Our goal from the beginning of the season was to win the WSBL Championship" manager Brian Jarvis said. "From the beginning of the season, every player had a connection with each other. We always played as a complete team and each individual stepped up when needed."
Going into the game the Bulldogs' record was 35-5. They had previously won the Memorial Classic Tournament they hosted in Woodridge, and they also won the Spring Swing Classic tournament in Homer Glen in April.
