LOMBARD – Members of St. Pius X Parish School's 2009 graduating class returned to their alma mater Aug. 2 to celebrate their graduation from high school.
The alumni toured the school and received a special blessing from the parish's pastor Father George Zieba, who congratulated them on beginning their new lives as adults and encouraged them to stay strong in their faith and remember their years at St. Pius, according to a news release from the school.
The school's principal, Daniel Flaherty, and assistant principal, Toni Miller, were also at the reception to recognized the graduates.
"They have grown into fine young adults and will forever be honored representatives of St. Pius," Flaherty said. "We know each and every one of them will have great success in their lives."
