Brizgis-Robertson

Sarah Brizgis and Shawn Robertson were united in marriage on June 29 at the Ottawa Wedding Chapel in Ottawa by the Rev. David Davies.

Parents of the bride are Alan and RuthAnn Brizgis of Magnolia. Parents of the groom are Rick Robertson of Danville and Debbie Robertson of Armstrong.

Kristen Bertuli was the maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Roselyn Migliorini, Katie Rutowski, Danielle Estes and Mikaela Robertson. The flower girl was Rylie Pitts.

Ryan Robertson was the best man. Groomsmen were Tony Foster, Joe Brizgis, Kyle Britt, Gary Pitts and Ryan Blackford. The ring bearer was Adam Robertson.

A reception to honor the couple was held at Grand Bear Lodge in Utica.

After a trip to the Florida Keys, the couple are making their home in Ottawa.

The bride is a 2004 graduate of Putnam County High School, and a 2008 cum laude graduate of Western Illinois University with a bachelor of science degree in elementary education. She is employed by Marseilles Elementary School as a first-grade teacher.

The groom  is a 2005 graduate of Armstrong High School, and a 2009 graduate of Illinois State University with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice. He is commissioned in the Army National Guard as first lieutenant, and he is a military environment specialist at the Marseilles Training Center.
