Margie L. Bryant

ROCK FALLS – Margie L. Bryant, 79, of Rock Falls, died Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2013, in Amboy. She worked at Wahl Clipper in Sterling for 42 years.

Margie was born July 21, 1934, in West Helena, Ark., the daughter of Ira and Clara (Burkes) Williams. She married Calvin Bryant on Jan. 21, 1956, in Rock Falls. She attended Harvest Time Bible Church in Rock Falls.

Survivors include her husband, Calvin Bryant of Rock Falls; three sons, Billy (Sunday) Bryant Sr. of Brownsburg, Ind., Marty (Alice) Bryant of Midland, Texas, and Jeffrey (Tammy) Bryant Sr. of Amboy; one stepdaughter, Virginia Glisson of Tullahoma, Tenn.; 12 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one stepson, Cecil Bryant; two brothers, Gene Williams and Doyce Williams; and one sister, Ivey Skinner.

Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday at McDonald Funeral Home in Rock Falls. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Harvest Time Bible Church in Rock Falls, with the Rev. Dalmus Meeks, pastor, officiating. Burial will be at Oak Knoll Memorial Park in Sterling.

In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established to Happy Tails Animal Shelter and Amboy Fire Department.
