Arrested at the same time was Amanda E. McDonald, 21, of Sterling; possession of cannabis, possession of drug paraphernalia; posted $150 cash bond and given notice to appear in court.

Esteban C. Rivera, 52, of Aurora; 1:42 p.m. Thursday on Interstate 39 in Ogle County; driving too fast for conditions; issued citation.

No one hurt in bus
crash Wednesday

DAVIS JUNCTION – There were no injuries in a crash involving a school bus Wednesday in the 300 block of West Chicago Avenue.

Ogle County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the scene at 2:44 p.m. An investigation revealed that a Meridian School District bus was eastbound and slowing to a stop when a 17-year-old Davis Junction girl driving an eastbound Pontiac Sunfire was unable to stop her vehicle on the ice-covered road. The Sunfire struck the rear end of the bus, causing very little damage. The Sunfire was drivable.

Single-vehicle
rollover injures one

OGLE COUNTY – A Polo woman received minor injuries Thursday in a single-vehicle rollover crash in the 7000 block of state Route 26.

Ogle County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the scene at 4:45 p.m. An investigation revealed that Marcia L. Dewey, 29, was passing other vehicles in her 2005 Dodge Durango when she lost control and entered the ditch on the east side of the roadway. The Durango rolled over, coming to rest on the driver’s side.

Dewey was removed from the vehicle by Polo Fire Department personnel and taken to KSB Hospital in Dixon. Her condition was unavailable Friday. No citations had been issued as of Friday.
