MEDINAH – Two women were charged with prostitution in unincorporated DuPage County near Medinah after the DuPage County Sheriff's Office received a community concern tip about a local spa, according to a Sheriff's Office news release.
After a short investigation, an undercover detective was able to set up an appointment to meet with the suspects late Thursday afternoon at Elite Spa, 7N130 Medinah Road in Medinah, the release stated.
During the meeting, the suspects allegedly offered to perform a sexual act in exchange for money, and they were arrested on site, according to the release.
Shujie Yang, 51, of the 7N100 block of Medinah Road, Medinah, was charged with one count of prostitution and one count of unlicensed practice of massage therapy, both misdemeanors, the release stated. Qian Yi Tang, 47, of the 600 block of Homewood Ave., Highland Park, also was charged with one count of prostitution.
Yang and Tang both posted bond, and they are scheduled to appear again in court in May, according to the release.
