Al's Hobby Shops closes after 67 years in Elmhurst

ELMHURST – After 67 years, Al's Hobby Shop in Elmhurst has closed.

According to a sign posted on the store's door, the store closed after business May 3. Al's, located at 121 N. Addison Ave., sold radio controlled cars, boats, planes and helicopters, as well as trains and other hobby supplies.

The sign stated that customers with a repair, deposit or item on consignment with the store would be contacted soon by the owners with more information.

The business also thanked loyal customers via the sign, stating it was with great sadness that Al's Hobby Shop announced its closing.
