LYONS – The Forest Preserve District of Cook County recently announced the Cermak Family Aquatic Center, 7600 W. Ogden Ave., is now open for the summer season.
The forest preserve's aquatic center offers a variety of water-time fun for children of all ages, including water slides, water cannons, geysers and a lazy river feature. The center also features a state-of-the-art bath house with showers, lockers and concessions, certified lifeguards, play pads and ample parking.
Rich in history and named after former Forest Preserve President and Chicago Mayor Anton J. Cermak, the center was previously Cermak Pool, a staple in the community from the 1920’s until its closing in 2002.
After a six-year renovation by the forest preserve, the aquatic center was officially re-opened to the public in 2008.
Family Aquatic Season Passes are $150 per family of four. Individual Aquatic Season Passes are $40. Rates for single day admission are free for children ages 3 and under, $4 for children between the ages of 4 and 12 and $6 for adults and children over age 13.
