Mildred Stoner

PRINCETON — Mildred Lindner Stoner, 97, of Princeton passed away Friday, May 30, 2014, at home.

She was born Jan. 7, 1917, in Tiskilwa to Emil Lindner and Jenny (Christophel) Lindner. She attended Tiskilwa High School, graduating in 1934. She continued her education at Purdue University and became a registered seed technologist working for many companies including Rudy Patricks. She was first and foremost a farmer's wife.

She was an active member of Willow Springs Mennonite Church, where she taught Sunday school.

She is survived by her son, Kenneth (Gail) Stoner of Princeton; and a sister, Esther Harrod of Princeton.

She was preceded by her husband, Stephen E. Stoner of Princeton; her father, Emil Lindner, and her mother, Jenny (Christophel) Lindner; a son, Donald Stephen Stoner of Princeton; and three sisters and one brother.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 4, at the Norberg Memorial Home, Princeton, with Pastor Cal Zehr officiating. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery, Princeton. There will be a light luncheon at the church immediately following the services and burial.

The family will receive friends from 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 4, at the funeral home.
