Lincoln-Way West High School Class of 2014 embarks on new life

NEW LENOX On June 4, the Class of 2014 of Lincoln-Way West High School was led into the gym by Valedictorian Richard A. Puig III and Salutatorian Hannah Enyart as the Lincoln-Way West music department played “Pomp and Circumstance” by Elgar.

Seniors Sarah Bonamino, Bethany Koniuszy, Jennifer Richardson, and David Santefort sang the National Anthem while Puig and Senior Class President Michael Svendsen addressed the class.

An hour before students filed into the gym, members of the senior class presented the district and Board of Education with a class gift. The gift, which was purchased from candy sales and other fundraisers, is a landscaped berm with evergreens that spell “WARRIORS” planted in front of the school on the corner of Illinois Highway and Gougar Road.

The gift was presented by Senior Class Officers Michael Svendsen, president; Emily DeLoian, vice-president; Alexandria Follett, secretary; and Sydney Schumacher, treasurer.
