ROBINSON – Dennis G. Newton Langley, 53, of Robinson, died Saturday, June 7, 2014, at his home, after a battle with cancer.
He was born April 29, 1961, in Atlanta, the son of Carl L. Newton Sr. and Ila Ecker.
Survivors include his wife, Denise Langley of Robinson; his children, Jesse (Sheri) Langley and Dustin Langley, both of Rockford, Dennis Emmert of Clinton, Iowa, Dennis Langley Jr., Nickolas (Miranda) Langley, and Devin Langley, all of Rock Falls, Kyle Kyarsgarnd of Loves Park, and April Benton, Brian Miller, and Charlie Miller, all of Robinson; his mother, Ila (Ecker) Brinkkoeter of Taylor, South Carolina; his siblings, Carl Lee Newton Jr. of Nebraska, Jeneive E. Curtis of Fountain Inn, South Carolina, James R. Dowdy of Rock Falls, and Randy (Buffi) Langley of Rock Falls; 19 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his biological father, Carl Newton Sr.; his special father, Harold Langley; a sister, Candy Langley; and a granddaughter.
His body was donated to science. There will be no funeral services. A gathering of family and friends will be June 21 in Rock Falls. Another gathering of family and friends will be at a later date in Robinson.
