Police: Lyons man charged with disorderly conduct for inappropriate behavior with juveniles

RIVERSIDE – Riverside police reported receiving two calls about a suspicious subject in a short period of time, which later resulted in the man receiving multiple charges.

Brian C. Hahn, 34, of the 4000 block of Anna Avenue in Lyons, was charged with two counts of disorderly conduct, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and resisting a police officer.

Police were initially called at 7:14 p.m. July 26 in the area of Quincy Street and Cowley Road. A witness told police Hahn was staring at his 17-year-old daughter as she sat in her front yard. When the girl's father confronted him, he walked away north on Cowley Road, according to police reports.

While searching for the suspect, police received a call from a resident in the 100 block of East Quincy about a man who walked up her driveway toward her 6-year-old daughter, who was sitting in their car as her mother went back and forth from the house. According to reports, Hahn asked the girl's mother if the girl was her child. When she said yes, he said, "this is not your child," according to police reports.

Officers located Hahn at Cowley and Addison, and when asked for identification, he fled on foot. Police had to tackle Hahn, and he fought with police, according to reports. Once in custody, he was identified by both witnesses.

Hahn told police at the station that he was just looking for a girlfriend and was walking from Lyons through Riverside, with his final destination being Oak Park. Hahn allegedly told police he was headed to Oak Park, where he said he could find "a nice girl," according to police.

When searched, Hahn was found in possession of a bottle of alcohol and a grinder used to grind marijuana, as well as marijuana.
