Donald Rapp

KISSIMMEE, Fla. — Donald C. Rapp, 70, of 1726 King Phillip Drive, Kissimmee, Fla., formerly of Princeton, passed peacefully to heaven at his home on Monday, Sept. 22, 2014.

Donald Carl Rapp was born Nov. 18, 1943, in Princeton, the son of Robert and Ruth (Eggers) Rapp. He attended Dover Grade School in Dover and graduated from Princeton High School in 1962. He served in the Army National Guard from November 1963 until honorably discharged in November 1969. He was an American Legion member and longtime Elks member. He was also a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Kissimmee.

Donald married Sandra Perricone on Nov. 18, 1967, at St. Gertrude's Church in Seatonville. He was raised on a farm and continued farming until his retirement in 2002. Donald carried a very deep love for his family and he cherished the time spent with them. He enjoyed fishing in Northern Wisconsin and was an avid lure collector. After moving to Florida he enjoyed traveling to visit family and friends in Illinois, Wisconsin and North Dakota.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra; his mother, Ruth Rapp of Princeton; two daughters, Brenda (Greg) Echevarria of Kissimmee, Fla., and Christina (Scott) Cornman of Sorrento, Fla.; three grandchildren, Noah Cornman, Lily Cornman and Samuel Cornman; his brother, Bob (Terry) Rapp of Princeton; and three nephews, Vince Rapp, Doug Rapp and Andrew Rapp. He was preceded in death by his father.

Cremation rites will be accorded and handled by the Conrad & Thompson Funeral Home in Kissimmee, Fla. A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 26, at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 1603 N. Thacker Ave., Kissimmee, Fla.
