Dr. William J. 'Bill' Simpson

MORRISON – Dr. William J. "Bill" Simpson, DDS, 59, of Morrison, died Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2014, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, Iowa. He practiced general dentistry for 33 years in Morrison.

Bill was born Jan. 14, 1955, in Breckenridge, Minnesota, the son of William L. and Alice M. (Petersen) Simpson. He married Deanna K. Lehman on Dec. 18, 1976, in Mitchell, South Dakota.

Survivors include his wife; one son, Scott Simpson of Charleston, South Carolina; his mother of Phoenix; and two brothers, Jim (Kathy) Simpson of Omaha, Nebraska, and Scott (Megan) Simpson of Phoenix.

He was preceded in death by his father and one sister, Jean Gray.

Visitation will be from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday at Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home in Morrison. The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Morrison United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Ryan Sutton, pastor, officiating. Interment will be at Hansen Desert Hills Memorial Park in Scottsdale, Arizona.

A memorial has been established to the National Kidney Foundation.
