BATAVIA – Honey-Jam Cafe, at 521 N. Randall Road in Batavia, reopened its doors Monday after being closed since October 2013.
Customers familiar with the restaurant should expect old favorites as well as new items on the menu, such as country fried steak, said Honey-Jam Cafe manager Dawn Brussow. Jim Garofalo is the restaurant's new owner, Brussow said.
Honey-Jam Cafe was previously owned by The Portillo Restaurant Group. But founder Dick Portillo sold the chain last year, Brussow said.
Honey-Jam Cafe serves breakfast and lunch. The restaurant is open from 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays, Brussow said.
Honey-Jam Cafe in Batavia originally opened in August 2010. Garofalo also owns Honey-Jam Cafe restaurants in Bolingbrook and Downers Grove, as well as Luigi's House in Aurora, Brussow said.
