ROCKFORD – Linda Rene Loos, 67, of Rockford, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2015, at Amberwood Care Centre in Rockford.
She was born Jan. 9, 1948, in Sterling, the daughter of Robert and Lucille Loos.
After high school, Linda was enrolled in business courses at both Rock Valley College and Rockford College. In addition, she completed dental assistant school. She was employed at Ace Hardware in Rockford for a number of years before becoming ill. While at Amberwood, Linda led various Bible studies and enjoyed many shopping trips and activities. She was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Rockford.
Survivors include her sisters, Joy (Allen) Axelson of Fountain Hills, Arizona, and Joan Welch of Novato, California; nephews, Mark (Ingrid) Axelson, Eric (Regina) Axelson, and Andrew (Luciana) Welch; niece, Rosemarie (Lane) Hiers; 11 grandnieces; and one grandnephew.
Interment will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Oak Knoll Memorial Park in Sterling. Olson Funeral & Cremation Services in Rockford is handling arrangements.
