Ronald E. Schultz

DIXON – Ronald E. Schultz, 73, of Dixon, entered into eternal rest Saturday, April 4, 2015, at Serenity Hospice & Home in Oregon.

He was born Dec. 5, 1941, in Rock Falls, the son of Wilbert and Eleanor (Love) Schultz. Ronald had worked at Northwestern Steel and Wire Co. for many years. He was a man of God and a member of Faith Discovery Church in Polo. Ron married Roxanna Legel on Nov. 24, 1960, in Rock Falls.

Survivors include his wife of Dixon; one son, Rodney (Shannon) Schultz of Sterling; one daughter, Rhonda (Pastor Aaron) McCombs of Kewanna, Indiana; six grandchildren, Brandon McCombs, Aschlee (Adam) James, and Meghan, Kelsey, Katie, and Hunter Schultz; six great-grandchildren, Kobe, Kason, Noah, Josie, Dominic, and Orion; six sisters, Patricia Gorges of New London, Wisconsin, Jean (Orval) Lubueke of Wisconsin, Gigi Clifton of Rock Falls, Sharon (Gene) Kyker of Victoria, Texas, Rosita Leach of Sterling, and JoAnn (Randy) Cantrell of Rock Falls; three sisters-in-law, Darlene Schultz of Oregon, Shelly Schultz of Forreston, and JoAnn Morris of Amboy; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Ronald "Tiny" Schultz Jr; sisters, Florence Morris, Karen Schultz, and Elaine Schultz; and brothers, Wilbert Schultz, Robert Schultz, and Larry Morris.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Jones Funeral Home in Dixon. The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with Don Hochmuth, pastor, officiating. Burial will be at Oak Knoll Memorial Park in Sterling.

Memorials have been established to St. Jude Children's Hospital and Faith Discovery Church in Polo.
