Catholic Charities will present the 16th Annual Annie Ryan Run 5K & 1 Mile Kids Dash on Sunday morning, May 17, in Elmhurst.
The 9 a.m. 5K race is set at York Road and South Street, along a course that's half street and half Illinois Prairie Path. The entry fee is $30 until May 16, and $35 on race day.
The 1 Mile Kids Dash starts at 9:45 a.m., and is open to youth in kindergarten through eighth grade; the entry fee is $15.
Dates for packet pickup
Packet pickup is offered from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, May 9, at Knights of Columbus, 537 S. York Road, Elmhurst; and from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 13, through Friday, May 15, at L.W. Reedy, 101 N. York Road, Elmhurst.
Race day registration
One may sign up between 6:30 and 8:45 a.m. the day of the race at Knights of Columbus Hall, 537 S. York Road, Elmhurst.

Annie Marie Ryan
Jim and Marie Ryan and their family created the event in memory of their youngest daughter, Annie Marie Ryan, who died at age 12 from a brain tumor.
They note: "We will proudly host the 16th Annual Annie Ryan Run to benefit Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Chicago's Children's Programs. We do it in memory of a little girl who left us too soon, but whose spirit and smile will always be with us."
