Chicago women charged after alleged credit card fraud at Glen Ellyn Walmart

Three Chicago women have been charged after allegedly trying to use fraudulent credit cards at a Walmart in unincorporated DuPage County near Glen Ellyn, according to a news release from the DuPage County Sheriff's Office.

It is alleged Rashonda Frazier, Nateia Hill and Tiffany Jones tried to make purchases May 27 using altered gift cards linked to unknown credit accounts, the release stated. The sheriff's office received a report of the incident, responded to investigate and took the trio into custody.

Frazier, 23, of the 2600 block of Monroe Street, was charged with one count of possession of an altered credit card, a Class 4 felony, and obstruction of identification and unlawful use of a weapon, both Class A misdemeanors, according to the release.

Hill, 21, of the 3500 block of Lexington Street, and Jones, 27, of the 1100 block of Laramie Avenue, were charged with one count of possession of an altered credit card, the release stated.

Frazier and Jones are being held on a $20,000 bond. Hill is being held on a $10,000 bond.
