Downers Grove Dragons win Memorial Day baseball tournament

DOWNERS GROVE – A trip to the Woodridge Memorial Tournament was nothing short of a complete success for the Downers Grove Dragons 11U Black baseball team.

The Dragons topped the Woodridge Bulldogs 4-3 in the tournament championship game on May 25 to complete a 5-0 run through the tourney. The Dragons were the No. 1 seed heading into the title game and lived up to that seed.

Dragons' players include: Max Babich, Jacob Baldwin, Ryan Evans, Eliot Fulscher, Nick Guth, Ned Kalata, Ben Romenesko, Will Ruddy, Emmitt Thulin, Alex White, Erik Youngberg and Jack Zizek. The team is coached head coach Scott Sobkowiak and assistants Tony White and Michael Ruddy.
