WESTMONT – Charlie Donovan was a well-known talent as a baseball player as a freshman at Westmont High School.
He became a little more well known on June 10 when he was taken in the 30th round by the Milwaukee Brewers in the 2015 MLB draft.
The four-year varsity starting shortstop was taken 901st overall, but is likely to follow through on his commitment to the University of Michigan.
This season, Donovan batted .483 with seven home runs, 33 RBIs and 64 runs scored. He drew 32 walks and stole 44 bases.
