HENNEPIN — Michael “Mike” R. Pinn, 57, of Hennepin died Wednesday, June 17, 2015, at his residence.
Mike was born April 30, 1958, in LaSalle to Ronald and Paula (Glubczynski) Pinn. He married Linda McCabe May 16, 1990, in Hennepin.
He graduated from LaSalle-Peru High School in 1976 and attended Illinois Valley Community College. Mike was a buyer for Revere Complete Electric in Peru.
Mike was inducted into the Illinois Valley Community College 2014 Hall of Fame with the 1976 IVCC Football Team. He was a Phi Kappa Theta Fraternity member through Iowa State University. He enjoyed playing football and was a lifelong Chicago Bears fan. Mike was an avid reader and a true military history buff. Mike enjoyed nothing more than celebrating life with his family and friends.
Surviving are his father, Ron of LaSalle; his wife, Linda of Hennepin; one daughter, Kristen Pinn of Hennepin; one brother, Jerry Pinn of Loveland, Colo., and his nephew, Ryan Pinn; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Cathy and Jim Phillips; two nieces, Amy Carboni and Jolene Burton; one great- nephew, Caleb; one great-niece, Ava; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; and his faithful companions, Biscuit and Patches.
He was preceded in death by his mother on May 8, 1990; his mother-in-law, Betty on April 17, 2015; and his father-in-law, John on May 19, 2006.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 23, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Hennepin, with Father Patrick DeMeulemeester officiating. Burial will be in St. Anthony’s Catholic Cemetery, Hennepin.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, June 22, at the Dysart-Cofoid Funeral Chapel in Granville. Prayers will be at 6:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Additional visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the Mass, on Tuesday, at the church.

Pallbearers will be Kent Tomlin, Mike Martyn, Tim Slover, Bill Mueller, Joe Skoflanc and Jim Carboni.
