Theresa R. Walls

DIXON – Theresa Rose Walls, 81, of Dixon, departed this world for Heaven on Saturday, June 20, 2015. She has gone on to be in full glory in the presence of her Lord and Savior.

Theresa was born Feb. 12, 1934, in Milwaukee, the daughter of Edward and Frances (Tietge) Kresanek. She married Richard Walls on July 24, 1955, in Dixon. Theresa was a very active member of Christ Our Savior Lutheran Church in Dixon. She will dearly be missed by her loved ones, who celebrate the fact that she is at peace with her Creator.

She is survived by her husband, Richard “Dick” Walls of Dixon; one son, Ricky Walls of California; three daughters, Diane Wakeley of Rockford, Christine (Louie) Apple of Dixon, and Robin (Dave) Hubler of Rockford; one brother, Johnny (Nancy) Kresanek of Springfield, Missouri; one sister, Sandra (Jim) Abbott of Rockford; eight grandchildren, Brian Wakeley of Loves Park, Jennifer Wakeley of Chicago, Clint (Kristi) Overton and Christina Hubler, both of Rockford, Lindsay (Zach Wohrley) Apple of Dixon, Ryan (Marie McDermott) Apple of Chicago, Tyler Walls of California, and Cody Hines of Rockford; and numerous great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Debra Overton; two brothers, Donald Tietge and Fritz Kresanek; and one sister, Barb Dutenhafer.

Memorial services for close family and friends will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Christ Our Savior Lutheran Church, with the Rev. David Andermann, pastor, officiating. Cremation rites have been accorded.

A memorial has been established to Christ our Savior Lutheran Church. Floral arrangements may be sent directly to the church.
