Face Time with Greg Hiller

Lake Villa resident Greg Hiller, 43, was working on a 1928 Overland Whippet in his father's Geneva garage when he answered 10 questions for the Kane County Chronicle's Brenda Schory.

Where did you grow up? We moved quite a bit, but I think we stayed the longest in Barrington.

Pets? Joe, a Jack Russell terrier, and three cats, Gina, Greta and Maisie

Who would play you in the movie of your life? Jack Black

First job? Movie theater concession

As a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up? I think I always wanted to be a man of leisure. I work [in] corporate IT for an insurance company.

A movie you’d recommend? “The Godfather”

Favorite charity? Veterans of Foreign Wars

Favorite ice cream flavor? Pistachio

Do you play an instrument? Bass guitar

What is an interesting factoid about yourself? I built an 1928 Overland Whippet Speedster out of spare parts. It’s all original parts. I didn’t do anything modern.
