Wauconda places first in business leadership conference

WAUCONDA – About 40 Wauconda High School students competed at the Future Business Leaders of America National Leadership Conference held June 29 to July 2 in Chicago, and the school's Business Plan Team won first place, according to a news release.

"I still haven't quite wrapped my head around all these amazing accomplishments by our awesome students," said Wendy Mills, business education teacher.

More than 11,000 students attended in total, from all across the globe. Sixteen Wauconda High School students placed in the top 10 divisions. Dominic Mues, Mikayla Ciesil and Catie Petralia took first, the release stated.
