PROPHETSTOWN – Branden L. Riddle, 23, of Prophetstown, died Sunday, Aug. 16, 2015, at Mercy Medical Center in Clinton, Iowa, from injuries received in an automobile accident in rural Whiteside County.
Branden was born Sept, 20, 1991, in Iowa City, Iowa, the son of Michael G. and Mary E. Riddle. He graduated in 2011 from Rock Falls High School. Branden worked odd jobs and always was there to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He also loved caring for his good friend, Gerald Johnston. Branden’s hobbies included video gaming and fishing. He loved old cars, especially Chevys, and his dog, Goku. He was a Batman enthusiast.
Survivors include his mother and father; his grandma-mom, Arlene Kallenbach, who was essential in his upbringing; siblings, Amanda Riddle, Michael Payne, Antonio Riddle, Nicole Riddle, and Zackry Riddle, all of Prophetstown, and Kyle Johnston of Tennessee; good friend, Gregg Petersen; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Gibson-Bode Funeral Home in Erie. Celebration of life services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Cremation will follow the services.
