Tyson Motors Serves The Shorewood Area For 30 Years

The longevity of a business is a testament to its owners, its employees, and the dedication and attention it offers its customers.  If customers aren’t happy with a business’s product or the way its operations are conducted, they won’t continue to patronize it.

November of 2015 marks the 30th anniversary of Tyson Motors doing business in Shorewood and the surrounding communities.  They've worked hard to provide their customers with new and used vehicles that meet their every desire and need.

The business started in 1986 and was owned and operated by Anthony Blake and Cal Rinehammer with 30-40 workers, and today employs over a hundred people.  This tremendous growth is also evident in the number of vehicles they move off the lot every month; From 60-70/month in past years to an increase of over 350 vehicles currently sold each month.

Tyson offers Chrysler, Dodge, RAM, and Jeep products, with RAM trucks, Chrysler minivans, and Jeep Wranglers being their top sellers.  They also have a Kia store in the Bradley/Bourbonnais area, and an Alfa Romeo/Maserati/Fiat franchise in Naperville.

Although in a very competitive industry, Tyson Motors has persevered to become the #1 Chrysler/Jeep/Dodge/Ram dealership in the Midwest, and #10 in the nation.  Jim Kinney, General Manager of Tyson Motors, was born and raised in the area, and understands Tyson's customer base very well.  "Shorewood is a great community to do business in," said Jim.  "Our customers are very loyal to local businesses, and we are grateful for that.  As a large store, we try to treat all our customers the same; we make the extra effort to cater to them as a small store would."
