Kasie Peed

WYANET — Kasie Michelle “K.C.” Peed, 36, of Wyanet, formerly of Kewanee, died at 2:40 p.m. Friday, Oct. 30, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

Kasie was born Sept. 11, 1979, in Kewanee, the daughter of Michael and Tammy (Mansnerus) DeBates. Kasie attended Buda Western and Princeton schools. She had been married to Ryan Peed.

Kasie was employed as a singing bartender at Skoonerz Grill and Bar in Princeton. She loved music and singing karaoke.

Surviving are two sons, Walkyr and Chaz Peed; her mother and stepfather, Tammy and Rick Willstead of Princeton; her father, Michael DeBates of Taylorville; two brothers, Jeff (Lindsey) DeBates of Princeton and Michael “Mick” (Michelle) DeBates of Polo; four nephews, Austin, Braden, Preston and Mikhail; and aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by grandparents, Shirley and Herb DeBates, and Martha Nanninga.

A celebration of her life will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 7, at the Schueneman-Tumbleson Funeral Home, Kewanee. A eulogy will be delivered by Helen Royce. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until the time of services on Saturday at the funeral home.
