First female physician to serve as chief of staff at Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox

NEW LENOX – Silver Cross Hospital’s Medical Staff has elected new officers to serve from Oct. 1, 2015 to Sept. 30, 2017.

Dr. Corinne Nawrocki, family medicine physician, will serve as chief of staff for Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox, Nawrocki is the first female to serve in this key medical staff leadership position in the Silver Cross 120 year history.

Over the next two years, Nawrocki will represent the Silver Cross medical staff – now more than 800 members strong,

Nawrocki earned her Bachelor of Science and a master’s in business administration from Benedictine University in Lisle. She attended medical school at Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine at Midwestern University in Downers Grove.

She completed both her family practice internship and residency at Olympia Fields Chicago Osteopathic Hospital. Board certified by the American Board of Family Practice, she is a founding partner with C & R Medical Group in New Lenox.

Nawrocki is a preceptor at Midwestern University. Over the years, she has served on several Silver Cross Hospital committees including utilization, bundled care, physician service improvement, credentials and improving operational performance.

As chief of staff, she serves on the Silver Hospital Board of Directors and its quality and cost effectiveness and finance committees. She champions for the hospital’s I Matter program, which rewards women for getting their annual breast and heart screenings.

Nawrocki is a member of the American Osteopathic Association, American College of Osteopathic Practitioners, American College of Physician Executives and Silver Cross Health Connection.
